Host monster is an excellent choice for server hosting. They have tons of benefits and a great plan. It's a tough choice between Host Monster and Blue Host, they are owned by the same company so they have awesome customer service. You can't go wrong with Host Monster. | |

Dot5 Hosting is another great company, they offer slightly less than Blue Host (can only have 6 Add-on domains), but at a cheaper price. This doesn't mean it is worse it may just be a more affordable hosting option for some webmasters. In my opinion, Dot5 Hosting

IX Webhosting's basic plan is good, but doesn't quite match up to Blue Host. The main reason is that their basic plan does not allow for mysql. This may not matter to some publisher's, but for many it is very important so make sure you see the full details before buying this plan. The company is great the only downside is the basic plan may not offer everything you need. There are other plans with more options but they are more expensive than Blue Host. | |

You may be wondering why I gave this host 4 stars as it seems to cost a lot for less benefits. The reason I rate it at a 4 is that it is one of few hosts that doesn't require you to sign up for 6 to 12 months of server space in advance. In the long run it will cost you more than a host like Blue Host, but if you are just starting and don't want to drop $70-$80 into server space you can pay monthly with their "baby" plan. I have been using HostGator for a few months and I have found their service to be exceptional. |

Looking for a domain name?
No need for a comparison here! The best website for buying and managing domain names is GoDaddy.com, they have the best prices plans and services available on the web. They are always running specials and giving you the best deals on the web. I would also recommend signing up for their newsletter as they send out a lot of coupons for deals on their website which can save you a bundle.
To change your domain over to your hosting plan you simply log in to GoDaddy, go to "manage domains" and then change the nameservers to the ones given to you when you purchased space on your server. If you don't know what they are just contact your server provider. They will generally look something like: ns4.myhost.com.
GoDaddy.com also offers web hosting, I have never used their hosting so I cannot comment on the service, but it may be worth looking into.
